The Art of The Shake

The beauty of the cookie shake is that it's both dessert and a beverage. It's a tasty end to a meal and a snack by itself. It's perfect on a hot day and a tasty surprise in winter. It's delicious for kids and for adults.

In fact, it's a great idea to make cookie shakes with your kids or let them make the shakes with their sleepover buddies next time you're hosting the party.

Oreo Milkshake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 1/2 Cups milk
  • 8 Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Combine the vanilla ice cream and milk in a blender and mix on low speed until smooth. Stir the shake mixture with a spoon if needed.
  2. Break Oreo Cookies while adding them to the blender, mix on low speed 5 to 10 seconds or until the cookies have been blended and chopped into the shake.
  3. Let a few of the large portions of the gourmet cookies remain in the mixture! That is what makes this tasty shake.
  4. Pour shake into two 12 Oz glasses and serve!

A Cookie Shake is a yummy shake for all chocolate lovers who like to drink their chocolate cold. Learn how to make/prepare a Cookie Shake by following this easy recipe.

  • Prep time:

  • Yields: 4

Ingredients:

  • 12 chocolate cookies
  • 4 Tbsp. chocolate sauce
  • 4 cups chilled milk
  • 4 cups vanilla ice cream

Instructions:

  1. Take the cookies and crumble them and put them in a blender.
  2. Add chocolate sauce, milk, vanilla ice cream and blend, taking care not to get a very smooth consistency. It should taste crunchy.
  3. Pour into individual glasses and add two scoops of vanilla ice cream to it.
  4. Break a few cookies and sprinkle on top.
  5. Serve cold.

Girl Scout Cookie Milkshake

You can use your leftover Girl Scout Cookies to make this milkshake.

  • 2 cups ice cream - any flavor
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 -8 cookies - depends on type chosen

  1. First, you will want to blend together your ice cream and milk. Add in your choice of Girl Scout cookies. Blend until smooth, then serve up in pretty glasses and enjoy!

  4. Samoas - New York Vanilla ice cream, Caramel ice cream

  7. Do-si-dos - Chocolate ice cream

Here Lauren makes a banana milkshake, but I think she might be needing something. Perhaps some ice cream or crushed ice to blend with it will make this recipe better. But it's still cute and it's a good example!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint chocolate or vanilla ice cream
  • 3 peanut butter cups - broken up (the big ones!)
  • 5 chocolate wafer cookies (cream filled)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)

Instructions:

  1. Put ice cream, peanut butter cups, 3 chocolate wafer cream filled cookies, vanilla, milk and peanut butter into a blender.
  2. Blend until the cookies are coarsely chopped.
  3. Pout into glasses and top with a whole chocolate wafer cream filled cookie.
