The beauty of the cookie shake is that it's both dessert and a beverage. It's a tasty end to a meal and a snack by itself. It's perfect on a hot day and a tasty surprise in winter. It's delicious for kids and for adults.
In fact, it's a great idea to make cookie shakes with your kids or let them make the shakes with their sleepover buddies next time you're hosting the party.
Oreo Milkshake Recipe
3 Cups vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 Cups milk
8 Oreo cookies
Combine the vanilla ice cream and milk in a blender and mix on low speed until smooth. Stir the shake mixture with a spoon if needed.
Break Oreo Cookies while adding them to the blender, mix on low speed 5 to 10 seconds or until the cookies have been blended and chopped into the shake.
Let a few of the large portions of the gourmet cookies remain in the mixture! That is what makes this tasty shake.
Here Lauren makes a banana milkshake, but I think she might be needing something. Perhaps some ice cream or crushed ice to blend with it will make this recipe better. But it's still cute and it's a good example!
