These milk chocolate and peanut butter cupcakes taste just like a Reese's peanut butter cup. When you bite inside these sweet treats, you get a delicious mouthful of chocolate and peanut butter goodness.
Top it off with your choice (maybe peanut butter?) frosting, and you have a combination that is sure to please the tastebuds!
I am going to start off this recipe by making the chocolate cake mix. I use a box mix... any brand is fine. After putting the batter into your cupcake pan, press a mini peanut butter cup into the batter until it is level with the top of the batter. Then bake according to the box instructions.
Mix all ingredients on low in a stand mixer. Spread or pipe onto cooled cupcakes. Top off with another mini Reese's cup if desired. You can also chop them up and sprinkle on the top. Eat before the kids beat you to it!
