Fun Christmas Cookie Designs

This time of year, there are always holiday parties. You might have your work holiday party, your family Christmas, church events, school events and more. Many times, you're going to have to bring some desserts along with you. Christmas cookies are always a hit, and if you vary your recipe up a little bit this year, you are sure to bring a batch that no one else did!

So if you're looking for some fun Christmas cookie designs to bring with this year, you are in the right place. Here are some great ideas to get the wheels turning.

Chocolate-Dipped Cookies

When you're short on time, the usual cookie recipe is chocolate chip or sugar cookies. And that's just fine with this type of cookie! Just make your Christmas shapes out of your rolled sugar cookie dough. When your cookies have cooled, dip them into a bowl of melted chocolate and lay on wax paper. If you want to take this a step further, you can even add on some festive sprinkles.

When the chocolate has dried, place them in a pretty container to tote along to a gathering, or you can tie on a big bow and give these yummy cookies as a unique cookie gift!

Nutter Butter Snowmen Cookies
Looking for a no bake Christmas cookie recipe? Then this one is for you. They're easy, fast and so incredibly cute!

You'll need:

  • Nutter Butter Cookies
  • White chocolate to melt
  • M&M's
  • Wax paper

For these easy but festive cookies, you'll start by dipping the Nutter Butter cookies into the white chocolate. Lay them to dry on a piece of wax paper. While the chocolate is trying, you can use M&M's as the snowman's buttons, eyes, whatever! This is a great recipe for kids because they will love decorating their own snowmen. Get creative with the snowman's accessories, you could use licorice for a scarf, red hots for his mouth, the options are endless!

Santa Hat DessertSanta Hats

Want to add a little fruit into the mix? This is how you can do it, and make it look cute too! These little santa hats are easy, and require minimal ingredients. If you don't have time to bake, just pop by the grocery store and purchase the base cookies or brownies there. From there, you will just need frosting/whipped cream, depending on how long you will have these sitting out. If you anticipate they will all be eaten right away, then go with whipped cream. But if the cookies will be sitting out for a while, then white frosting is the way to go.

Place your cookie or brownie circle on your work surface, then place a strawberry (with the stem and leaves removed) upside down on the cookie or brownie. Trace the base of the strawberry with frosting or whipped cream, and add a dollop on the top of the hat for the pom pom of Santa's hat. Voila! Easy, festive and tasty cookies!
