Homemade Protein Cookies
Protein is a must for growth and development, and whether you’re trying to get fit, stay in shape, train for something big, or just encourage healthy eating in your house, protein cookies are a great choice, and are a healthy alternative to high calorie cookies, just as sugar free cookies or even protein bars are. Here are a few recipes you may want to try.
Caroline Bakker’s Protein Cookie
To get started, you’ll need two and a half tablespoons of peanut butter, half of a banana, a teaspoon of vanilla, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, two cups of protein powder, two and a half cups of oat flour, a cup of raisins, two tablespoons of cocoa, and four egg whites.
Using a hand mixer, combine all ingredients. You want the dough to be thick enough to roll into balls. Roll into small balls, then flatten with your hand. Bake at 200 degrees for 20 minutes, then remove to a cooling rack. Store in an airtight container.
Chocolate Coconut Protein Cookies from Muscle and Fitness Hers
To make these delicious cookies, you need three tablespoons of coconut flour, three tablespoons of chocolate protein powder, one tablespoon of stevia, ¼ teaspoon of baking powder, three tablespoons of almond milk, two tablespoons of Greek yogurt, one egg white, one tablespoon of peanut butter, and six teaspoons of chopped coconut.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Combine the dry and wet ingredients in separate bowls. Add to each other to form a stiff dough. Roll into six cookie balls. Dip each in coconut, then place on parchment paper. Press to ½ inch thick, and bake for fifteen minutes.
Amy’s 30-Second Protein Cookies from Linda’s Low Carb Recipes
This is an easy, quick recipe, but it makes just one gourmet cookie. You’ll need a teaspoon of butter, a half scoop of chocolate whey protein powder, two teaspoons of Splenda, and ¾ teaspoon of water.
Heat the butter in a microwaveable bowl until it melts. Stir the whey powder and the Splenda in. Add some water until the mixture can be rolled into a ball. Put it in the microwaveable bowl, and cook on high for thirty seconds. Let it cool.
Geo-Fit’s Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Protein Cookies
This recipe starts with a cup of oat flour, a cup of old fashioned oats, a scoop of vanilla protein, a teaspoon of baking soda, six teaspoons of vanilla, an egg, a half cup of stevia, a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a quarter of a cup of mini dark chocolate chips.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together in their own bowls. Then add the wet ingredients to the dry ones. Stir completely until they’re well combined. Add in the chocolate chips. Roll the cookies into bowls. Place on a cookies sheet that is lined with foil or parchment paper. Bake the cookies for eight minutes. They should be firmly set and light colored on top. Remove to a baking sheet to cool completely.
